Overview

Ideo Auto Mobility collaborated with leading urban developers to design a first-of-its-kind smart-access mobility hub within a high-density residential complex. By combining innovation-focused strategy with connected vehicle technology integration, we created a seamless ecosystem that allows residents to interact with a shared fleet through a unified, data-informed digital interface.

The Challenge

Modern urban developments are increasingly facing "mobility gridlock," where traditional vehicle ownership models lead to excessive parking requirements and underutilized space. The challenge was to replace individual ownership with a smarter transportation model that maintains convenience while reducing the physical footprint of automotive infrastructure in a connected landscape.

Our Solution

We developed a forward-thinking mobility planning framework that treats vehicle access as a utility rather than a product. By deploying a private, shared-access fleet equipped with real-time telematics, we transformed how a community interacts with vehicles, making transportation an integrated part of the building’s smart infrastructure.

The pilot program included:

  • Smart-Access Platform: A custom-built mobile interface for residents to reserve, unlock, and manage their vehicle use on demand.
  • Intelligent Fleet Balancing: Predictive algorithms that ensure vehicles are charged and available during peak demand periods.
  • Integrated EV Infrastructure: Strategically placed charging hubs that utilize building energy data to optimize power consumption without taxing the grid.
  • Data-Informed Urban Planning: Advisory support for developers to repurpose traditional garage space into productive community areas based on reduced parking needs.
